GETTING READY.

Before the holiday starts, here are a few things to do with your child to get ready for the adventure:

  1. Set up your Story Space. This should be a place near your table that you can clear of furniture so you can act out all the parts of the Passover story.

  2. Print out the K’ilu Scavenger Hunt found below, and collect all of the items from around your house. Put them all together in your Story Space.

  3. Print out and construct the basket puppet, burning bush lantern, and story map found below.

  4. Print out your K’ilu Hagaddah found below if you plan to do the audio adventure as part of a Passover Seder.

  5. Get your Seder table ready. For the Seder, make sure your Passover table is set with Grape Juice, at least three pieces of Matzah, a Spring Vegetable (Parsley or Celery), Salt Water, Maror (Bitter Herb), and Charoset (Chopped Apples + Grape Juice + Nuts + Cinnamon).

  6. Play the audio adventure. Have a device handy to play the audio tracks so that everyone can hear them. The audio adventure runs about 40 minutes long. You can do Part I before dinner, and Part II after dinner. Alternatively, you can do the whole story as one full experience.

Play along with your child. The adventure will require you to play along, act out the story, and use your imagination along with your kid. The experience will be even more memorable for them if they create the adventure with you.
